Building a party that survives Emberfall's second act
Emberfall Chronicles eases you in, and then act two hits like a wall. We spent a frustrating evening wiping before we rethought our party entirely.
The fix was balance. We'd been running three damage dealers and one healer, which falls apart the moment enemies start chaining status effects. Swapping to a two-damage, one-support, one-tank layout changed everything.
Positioning matters more than the tutorial lets on. Keep your fragile casters in the back row and use the tank to bait front-line attacks. Elemental combos between skills do big damage, so plan your turn order around them.
It's a slower, more deliberate RPG than its flashy look suggests, and that's exactly why we liked it.
